Trail of Truth refers to episode 7 of the Season 5 of the television series Forensic Files which was broadcast for the first time on October 24, 2000.
Plot summary[]
In 1987, Nancy Newman and her two daughters, 8-year old Melissa and 3-year-old Angie are found brutally murdered in their Anchorage, Alaska home. Nancy and Melissa had also been sexually assaulted before being killed.
The crime scene has no shortage of evidence, but investigators cannot find a conclusive link to their prime suspect. To solve the puzzle, an FBI analyst designs a unique experiment, in which pubic hairs found at the scene are used to establish not only that Kirby Anthoney was in the home, but that he was there when the crime was committed.
