Summary[]
In 1988 when Russ Stager, a popular Durham, North Carolina gym teacher, is found dead of what appears to be an accidental gunshot wound, his family is suspicious. They think that his wife Barbara Stager may have planned his murder.
When police learn that her previous husband, Larry Ford, died in almost identical circumstances, they re-examine the crime scene and find evidence that the death was no accident. But it is a cassette tape recorded by the victim just before his death that tells the true story of his strange marriage and his wife's insatiable greed.
